Two minors detained on Temple Mount

Tuesday, April 23, 13:26 Two minors were detained early in the afternoon on Tuesday, April 23 on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem on suspicion that they prostrated themselves on the ground in violation of the police prohibition concerning any activity connected to prayer at the site, Honenu reports.

The two minors were taken to the Kishleh Police Station. A Honenu attorney is handling the case.

In response to the detention Honenu states that, “Between the day on which we commemorate the founding of the State of Israel and the day on which we commemorate the reunification of Jerusalem, for the Jerusalem Police it’s business as usual: the Arabs are in charge and the Jews are merely pitiable guests.”
