Yitzhar resident arrested on suspicion of allowing his children to stay in Ramat Migron outpost

Wednesday, January 18, 8:28 The police arrested this morning a Yitzhar resident for investigation on suspicion of child neglect after two of his children visited the Ramat Migron outpost in Binyamin about two weeks ago. Close to six o’clock in the morning Yassam (Special Forces) police banged on the door of the family home and arrested the father of the children, who was taken to the Ariel Police Station for investigation.
An attorney from Honenu is working to secure the release of the father.
The spokesman of Yitzhar, Avraham Binyamin, strongly criticized the conduct of the police and mentioned that only last week Yassam police threw babies and children out of their homes in Mitzpe Yericho, into the freezing cold.
“Again the police are conducting themselves like cruel thugs under the pretense of upholding the law,” said Binyamin. “The same policemen who just last week threw dozens of women and children out into the freezing cold are daring under the pretense of child welfare to arrest a man who teaches his children to love their country. I suggest that the police first arrest the parents of the thousands of children of similar ages from ‘good homes’ who drink alcohol and take drugs.”
