On the night of Thursday, September 18, was detained at the Gush Etzion Junction on suspicion that he had violated the order and had arrived to visit his family at his home in Bat Ayin. Honenu attorney Naftali Wertzberger is representing the youth.
This week, it was publicized that Major General Alon canceled an administrative order issued against an Arab woman after she refused to obey it, openly and deliberately violated it, and was given media backing by Amira Hass, a journalist with the Ha’Aretz newspaper.
Honenu has a message for Major General Nitzan Alon: Only this week, it was publicized that you canceled an administrative order against an Arab woman from Ramallah who is suspected of terror activities, and who refused to obey the order issued against her. On the other hand, against Jewish youths, you, Major General, wield a heavy hand and abuse them. We remind you that we are approaching Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur and we call on you to mend your ways, to decisively fight the enemy and to cease injuring your brothers.
Update: Sunday, October 5, 2014 After an appeal filed by Honenu the youth was allowed to spend Yom Kippur at his home. See here.
