All Netiv HaAvot detainees released

Wednesday, June 13, 2018, 17:45 The Jerusalem and Petah Tikva Magistrate Courts ordered the release of all of the protesters detained while demonstrating against the destruction of houses in Netiv HaAvot in Gush Etzion on Tuesday, June 12.
Three detainees were brought to the Jerusalem Magistrate Court, two of whom had already been released in the morning on condition of a seven-day distancing order from Netiv HaAvot and signing on bail. A minor was released in the early evening under the same conditions. Honenu Attorney David HaLevi represented all of the detainees.
Three minors were brought to the Petah Tikva Magistrate Court and released under restrictive conditions, including distancing orders and bail.
Honenu Attorney Adi Keidar, who represented the minors at the Petah Tikva Magistrate Court, stated that, “The Israeli Police are completely insensitive. Two young girls and a boy who had never been detained were left in remand overnight, with all of the implications, and in the end were brought to court and released under very lenient conditions. This was scandalous conduct that could cause minors serious harm. The State must get its house in order.”
