Arabs burn vineyard, Jews detained after disturbances broke out

Sunday, May 5, 18:48 On Sunday, May 5 the Petah Tikvah Magistrate Court extended until Tuesday the remand of two brothers detained the day before at the Sneh Ya’akov hilltop community in the Gav HaHar region of the Shomron, Honenu reports. On Saturday Arabs from the nearby village of Burin set on fire a vineyard belonging to a Sneh Ya’akov resident. In response disturbances broke out during which the two brothers were detained on charges of assaulting a policeman and injuring Arabs. Honenu attorney Yossi Lin represented the two detainees. Honenu strongly opposes the policy of the police according to which every assault on an Arab results in detained Jews.
