Ben-Tzion, Hy”d, family to hold press conference

Sunday, December 21, 2014, 00:13 On Monday, December 1, Avi Ben-Tzion was critically injured at the Migdalim (Alon) Intersection in the Shomron in what the police have classified as vehicular theft and others, including his family, insist is a nationalistically motivated terror attack. The following day Ben-Tzion succumbed to his injuries and his family has decided to launch a campaign to have his death classified as nationalistically motivated murder. The family decided to start the campaign after they heard details from the Israeli Police and other authorities which do not fit with some of the publicized details of the case.
Ben-Tzion’s family, residents of Moshav Nativ HaGedud in the Jordan Valley, has planned a press conference along with the Head of the Jordan Valley Regional Council, David Alhayani, the chief security officer of the Yesha Council, Shlomo Vaknin, and Honenu attorney Hur Uriel Nizri who is representing the family as victims of a crime. With the cooperation of the above mentioned community leaders, the family will announce the start of their public and legal campaign to reveal the motivation behind the murder of Avi Ben-Tzion, Hy”d.
The family will state: “Avi was robbed because he was a Jew and murdered because he was a Jew.”
The press conference will take place on Sunday, December 21 at 12:30 on 1 Ben Yehuda Street, 3rd floor, just off of Zion Square in Jerusalem.
