Boaz Albert to be released by court order

Friday, August 16, 12:07 In mid July, 2013, IDF Central Command Major General Nitzan Alon issued Boaz Albert, a resident of Yitzhar, a community in the Shomron, an administrative order banning him from entering Yehuda and Shomron. Albert announced that he has no intention of honoring the order, which he states is illegal, and did refuse to accept it..
On Thursday, August 15, policemen violently detained Albert in the presence of his family and guests, repeatedly shocking him with a Taser even though he did not resist the detention. Please see video clip here.
In the late morning hours on Friday, August 16, the Petah Tikva Magistrate Court ordered the release of Albert, despite the police demand to keep him in remand until the end of proceedings.
Honenu attorney Adi Kedar represented Albert.
The police will file an appeal with the Lod District Court a short time after the end of the deliberation at the Petah Tikva Magistrate Court.
