Hevron residents arrested on Shabbat released

Sunday, April 15, 10:00 The two Hevron residents arrested on Shabbat were released at the Alon Shevut Police Station Saturday night after interrogation, Honenu reports.
During the course of Shabbat border police arrested a boy approximately 9 years old who entered the “Beit HaMachpela” building in Hevron. According to people present at the scene the border police used inappropriate force on the young child. Two Hevron residents who attempted to prevent the policemen from using force on the child were arrested and taken to the Alon Shevut Police Station on Shabbat.
Policemen at the Alon Shevut Police Station released the two on Shabbat on condition that they return for interrogation on Saturday night, after Shabbat.
On Saturday night, after Shabbat Honenu attorney Adi Kedar briefed the two arrestees who were later released at the police station on bail after interrogation.
