Highway 4: Police detectives stop vehicle carrying administrative exiles

Sunday, August 7 14:21 Several minutes ago police detectives arrested Calev Blanc, one of the men from Yitzhar under an administrative restraining order banning him from entering Yehuda and Shomron.
Four men under the administrative restraining order placed on them last week were on their way to a meeting concerning a training course planned for this September in Yitzhar. As they drove on the Geha Highway a detective vehicle cut them off and ordered them to stop on the side of the road. Four detectives jumped out of the vehicle and demanded that they show their identification cards. After a brief clarification the detectives informed them that they have an arrest warrant for Calev Blanc, one of the men under an administrative restraining order. The detectives took Blanc without detailing to where he was being taken and without showing the arrest warrant they claimed was issued against him.
Sources close to the administrative exiles responded by announcing that “the harassment by the police will not deter us from holding the training course for the youth of Yehuda and Shomron.”
As was publicized last week one of the main reasons for the administrative restraining orders on Yitzhar residents is apparently the self-defense course scheduled to be held in Yitzhar. Dozens of youths from Yehuda and Shomron are expected to participate in the course, in which they will learn self-defense and martial arts.
The course is part of preparation of Yehuda and Shomron residents for the events of September, simultaneous to the escalation of security issues in the region, notably arson and rioting by Arabs, mainly in close proximity to the outposts and hilltops.
