December 2, 2021, 10:47 The office of the Attorney General indicted Amsalem Hasuna and Eid Hasuna, Lod residents in their 20s, with carrying out a shooting attack during severe Arab rioting in the city at the time of Operation Guardian of the Walls. Among the charges, they are charged with committing an act of terror, illegal possession of a weapon and opening fire.

The attack occurred on May 13, on Exodus Street, during severe Arab rioting in Lod at the time of Operation Guardian of the Walls. A yeshiva student who came to Lod to assist the residents by serving as an MDA medic, rescued and treated several victims before he himself was shot in the leg. He was in rehabilitation for many months and forced to walk on crutches.

Honenu Attorney Chayim Bleicher, who is representing the injured medic: “We thank the police, the GSS, and the office of the Attorney General for apprehending and indicting the terrorists. We are of the opinion that a terrorist who opens fire on people should be charged with attempted murder, and we will consider pursuing that option with the relevant authorities.”
