More protesters detained at Kerem Shalom Crossing

Tuesday, January 30, 2024, 17:10 Honenu reports that ten protesters have been detained at protests against the “humanitarian aid” being transferred to Gaza at the Kerem Shalom Crossing. Honenu Attorney Daniel Shimshilashvili arrived at the Netivot Police Station and is providing legal counsel to the detainees.

Attorney Shimshilashvili: “My clients were expressing legitimate opposition to the disgrace known as ‘humanitarian aid’ for the Hamas terror organization at a time that the hostages are desperate for even a scrap of aid. My clients did not commit any crime and did not violate any major-general’s order. I call on the police not to take part in suppressing free speech and violating the fundamental right to protest.”
