Police request one-week house arrest, court releases detainees

Friday, May 23, 2014, 15:23 Two adults detained for posting notices protesting the Pope’s visit to Israel have been released. The police requested that the Jerusalem Magistrate Court rule on a one-week house arrest, claiming that the notices caused unrest, however Judge Shmuel Herbst rejected the request out of hand and unconditionally released the detainees.
