Tuesday, June 15, 2021, 10:06 The police recognized an attack by an Arab motorcyclist as a nationalistic terror attack. On May 7, near Clock Tower Square in Yaffo, the motorcyclist brutally attacked Sh., a Jewish youth, who was on his way to the beach. The crime victim form which Sh., the attacked youth, received includes the sentence, “The circumstances of the incident form a reasonable foundation to presume that the assault was caused as a result of acts of terror against Israel.”
There is an additional case open against the assailant concerning an incident which occurred in the same area of Yaffo five days later. A man and his son were attacked while driving their car. The Arab motorcyclist blocked their path and beat the father with his helmet. Friends who joined the attacker sprayed the father and son and their two dogs with pepper spray. The motorcyclist also shouted at them, “You are Jews. You don’t belong here,” and then fled. For more details about this attack, click here.
Honenu Attorney Chayim Bleicher, who is assisting the victims of terror: “We will continue to make every effort to ensure that terrorists who take advantage of their citizenship to carry out attacks against the citizens and State of Israel are penalized to the full extent of the law.”
