Two minors detained near Temple Mount gates

Sunday, July 8, 2018, 21:30 On Sunday, July 8, two girls were detained for interrogation on suspicion of disrupting public order when they wanted to pray at the gates to the Temple Mount during a “Circling the Gates” walk around the Temple Mount.
The girls, both of them minors, were being interrogated at the police station at 21:30, the time of this posting and it is not yet known whether they will be released after interrogation.
Honenu Attorney Moshe Poleski, who is representing the minors, said, “Once again, without any justifiable cause, policemen are preventing girls from exercising their right to pray near the gates to the Temple Mount.”
In a related case, a group of seven women and girls, one of whom was assaulted by policewomen, were detained at the gates to the Temple Mount on June 25. Four of the detainees spent two nights in remand. See here and here for details.
