“We will not allow the youths to be falsely accused”

The Director of Honenu, Shmuel (Zangi) Meidad leveled severe criticism at the conduct of the GSS: “The GSS decided to revile the entire population of Yehuda and Shomron, and all ways are valid: slander, lies, delegitimization of an entire population, and in effect, spilling blood is permitted. Everything in order to allow violations of the law in the interrogation rooms as the attorneys heard from the interrogatees.
“Yeshivat Pri HaAretz is a praise-worthy institution. The students are wonderful, the education is the best in Israel, sons of the best families in the country attend the school, and the GSS simply decided to slander them. The GSS did not even bother to examine the alibi presented to them.
“Unfortunately, throughout history the GSS has trampled the rights of residents of Yehuda and Shomron – at the time of [GSS agent] Avishai Raviv, during the interrogations of the Duma case, and also now. We will not allow the youths to be falsely accused. In this country, Jews have rights too,” concluded Meidad.
