Beit Jala terrorist indicted

Wednesday, December 26, 2018, 11:39 The Military Prosecution filed an indictment with the Military Court in Yehuda against Sallama resident Ahmad Nafaz Muhammad, the terrorist who stabbed Aharon Heller, a Beitar Elite resident, as he was getting into his car outside of a supermarket in Beit Jala on November 20.
The indictment states that the terrorist held Heller by the neck and stabbed him nine times in the face with a utility knife, lightly injuring him. Although the injury was not serious, it was determined that the intent of the terrorist was to kill, and therefore the indictment attributes to him the crime of intentional homicide, the equivalent of attempted murder, and also possession of a knife. The indictment also states that the family of the terrorist turned him in to IDF forces out of concern that the army would come to their house.
Honenu Attorney Chayim Bleicher, who has been assisting the injured party, stated that, “The indictment unequivocally reveals the importance of demolishing the houses of terrorists and other deterrents involving the family of the terrorist. Thanks to this deterrent, the terrorist was immediately turned in and will not be able to harm additional Israelis.
“The conviction accurately expresses the severity of the act. The terrorist is part of a wave of incitement to terror and terrorists who attempt by and with every means possible to kill Jews. We are pleased that the Military Prosecution filed an indictment. The injured party and Honenu will continue to follow the legal proceedings in order to verify that the terrorist is imprisoned for many years.”
