Detainee’s mother faints in court

Wednesday, December 16, 2015 On Wednesday, December 16, 2015 the mother of one of the minors detained after the July 2015 Kfar Duma arson incident fainted at the Petah Tikva Magistrate Court during a deliberation on her son’s case. She was evacuated to the emergency room at the nearby Bellinson Hospital.
Friends of the family said that, “His [the detainee’s] mother is no longer able to cope with the situation. Her son’s condition is extremely worrisome to her. She herself has been interrogated by the GSS and was harassed by them, as were other female members of the family. She knows that if that is how they treated her then the interrogations and abuse her son is suffering must be much worse and that does not allow her peace of mind. It is hard to believe that this is Israel in the year 2015.”
