Detentions in Havat Ma’on

Wednesday, January 31, 2018, 11:39 IDF and police forces are evacuating a building in Havat Ma’on in the southern Har Hevron region. As of now Honenu’s legal headquarters have received reports of six detainees at the scene, among them minors.
Updates will follow.
12:28 Update: One of the detainees was released at the scene. Five detainees remain, among them minors. Witnesses to the detentions report brutality on the part of the border policemen at the site. Some of the detainees have been injured.
A Honenu Attorney is providing the detainees with legal counsel.
21:41 Update: The five detainees were released after interrogation at the police station on condition of 15 days distancing from the Har Hevron region and third party bail.
During interrogation, one of the detainees was evacuated to a medical center in Kiryat Arba for medical treatment due to an injury caused by the police brutality.
Honenu Attorney Rehavia Piltz arrived at the police station to provide the detainees with legal counsel.
