GSS detained minors – Protests
Tel Aviv
Wednesday, January 2, 2019, 17:25 The mother of one of the minors detained by the GSS will join the demonstration opposite the residence of Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked on the evening of Wednesday, January 2. The minors, who were detained on Sunday, have not met with an attorney. The order prohibiting them from meeting with an attorney is set to expire on Friday.
The mother intends to join the vigil every evening until Minister Shaked responds to the demand by the families of the minors and acts to immediately stop the abuse and ensures them that the horrific treatment suffered by other detained youths interrogated by the GSS in similar situations will not be repeated.
Additionally, the mother invited the public to come and show their support for the protest, this evening and every evening, between 18:30-20:30, on Atarot Street in the Ramat HaHayal neighborhood in Tel Aviv.

Honenu levels severe criticism at GSS
Wednesday, January 2, 2019, 20:07 On the evening of Wednesday, January 2 Honenu leveled severe criticism at the GSS: “As the torture of minors and the violation of their rights increases, so will the number of headlines like the ones this evening’s news. On a regular basis, in order to excuse their actions which are unacceptable according to any democratic state, the GSS briefs reporters, such as Roy Sharon on this evening’s “Kann” news program. When there is no evidence and there is a need to excuse the torture of minors in the GSS dungeons, the GSS starts to spread fake news. Who is responsible here? Where is the Justice Minister? Where is the Internal Security Minister? Where is the Prime Minister? Who will stop this recklessness, and return democracy to Israel?”
