New evidence in Zemora case

Tuesday, April 24, 2018, 23:16 On Wednesday, April 25, a deliberation will take place at the Ofer Military Court in the trial of a terrorist who stabbed Nirit Zemora in a terror attack at the Etzion Bloc Intersection on October 28, 2015 . At the deliberation the Military Advocate General is expected to ask to submit to the court new evidence, the minutes of the interrogations of the terrorist which will show that the terrorist intended to murder Zemora. The minutes could cause the judges to overturn their decision exonerating the terrorist of attempted murder and convicting him of aggravated assault.
If the Military Advocate General’s request is rejected, a deliberation will be held regarding the penalty to be imposed on the terrorist, at which Zemora is expected to speak before the court.
Honenu Attorney Chayim Bleicher will provide Zemora with legal counsel at the deliberation.
