Remand on arrestee extended

Tuesday, March 13, 17:06 Honenu reports that the remand of one of the youths arrested this morning (Tuesday) in a pre-dawn raid has been extended by one day. The youth is suspected of chopping down Arab trees.
In a deliberation which took place at the Petah Tikva Magistrate Court the remand of one of the arrestees was extended until tomorrow. To reiterate, this morning four youths were arrested in three locations, Yad Binaymin, Bat Ayin and Yitzhar, in a pre-dawn raid jointly conducted by Yassam (Special Police), police detectives and agents from the Jewish Department of the GSS. After the four youths were taken to the Central Unit of the Yehuda and Shomron Police in Ma’aleh Adumim, one of them was transferred to the Ariel Police Station where he was interrogated on suspicion of chopping down Arab trees. Following that he was brought to the Petah Tikva Magistrate Court for a deliberation.
The police report that the other three arrestees are suspected of involvement in a different incident. A deliberation on their case is currently taking place at the Jerusalem Magistrate Court behind closed doors. Honenu attorney Adi Kedar is representing the three arrestees.
