Thursday, July 8, 2021, 12:30 The IDF has demolished the house of Muntasir Ahmed Ali Shalabi, the terrorist who murdered Yehuda Guetta, Hy”d, and injured others in an attack at Tapuah Junction.
Guetta’s family and Honenu thank the IDF, the GSS, the High Court of Justice, and the Justices of the Supreme Court, who did not back down in face of pressure from left-wing organizations that did all that they could to damage the ability of the IDF to deter terror.
These organizations did not refrain from any means, from automatically filing petitions on behalf of the terrorists against the IDF with the assistance of Attorney Lea Semel to attempting to involve the American government in activity detrimental to the security of Israel. There is no doubt that the strong stance of the Israeli security system and the Israeli judicial system against these attempts strengthens the deterrence factor against terrorists and increases the security of Israeli citizens.
Muntasir Ahmed Ali Shalabi murdered Yehuda Guetta, Hy”d, and injured others in a May 2 terror attack at Tapuah Junction. On June 17, despite a petition filed by HaMoked: Center for the Defence of the Individual (HaMoked), the High Court of Justice authorized the demolition of Shalabi’s house. HaMoked and Shalabi’s family subsequently filed a request for an additional hearing and requested that the High Court of Justice hold another hearing and stop the demolition of the house. The President of the Supreme Court, Chief Justice Esther Hayut, rejected the request out of hand on June 30.
