Update: Boaz Albert’s case to be reviewed at 9:00 A.M. Thursday, January 16

Wednesday, January 15, 20:40 On July 23, 2013 Major General Nitzan Alon issued Boaz Albert, a Yitzhar resident, an administrative order banning him from his home and all of Yehuda and Shomron. Albert refused to comply and was subsequently detained and released several times.
The most notable detention occurred at his home on August 15, 2013. The Israeli Police violently detained Albert, repeatedly shocking him with a Taser gun in the presence of his wife and children.
Albert chose to remain in remand rather than acquiesce to the administrative order. Also on September 24, during the Succot holiday, Albert was detained, after Yassam (Special Forces) and border police worked for six full hours, out of which four and half were devoted to releasing Albert from a device he had installed in his home to thwart the police.
After four months of remand, on Thursday, January 16 at 23:59 the order will no longer be in effect and therefore Adi Kedar, the Honenu attorney representing Albert, filed a request for the release of Boaz Albert.
At 9:00 A.M. On Thursday, January 16 a deliberation to review Boaz Albert’s case will take place at the K’far Saba Magistrate Court with Judge Nava Bechor presiding.
